I found this on YouTube. It’s a walking tour of the old medieval town of York. The streets you see here were actually the inspiration for a lot of the settings in my first novel (and its recent sequel, my fifth novel). I traveled there in 2004 on a whim (after seeing English Heritage’s brochures for York Minster in the lobby at my university) and was blown away by how well-preserved most districts were. Little did I know at the time, but I may have been there in a previous life (Longespee was at York in 1206 as an escort to the Scottish king William the Lion).
