Good Lord…

So, as most of you know signed copies of my previous life’s work are kind of rare though they come up now and then.

Apparently, those copies are so rare that people have now taken to cutting up checks to get a copy of my signature and gluing them into newer editions which still sell for thousands of dollars.

Jeez… I knew I had a following from that life, but this is starting to make me a bit uneasy as it’s moved decidedly into cult of personality territory.  Even if I get a favorable comparison from critics, I can never surpass my previous life’s fame.  Not when I see the signatures from checks I probably cut for roast beef sandwiches at Trader Joe’s or a new muffler for my car, cut up and glued into books that sell for four figure sums!
